Ekam Stephen Magor was born on the 23rd of August 1991 (25 years) to the family of Mr. Ekam Cletus Ntul and Mrs. Ekam Janet Mbale.

The son of a retired Naval officer while the mother is a business woman. He is the fourth of five boys,his siblings include John, Nicholas, Gibson and Emmanuel Ekam.

He attended Nigerian Navy and later Opeyemi Comprehensive High School between 1995 and 2001 where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He was selected (alongside four others) to write a special exam into college which he passed.

Hence, between 2002 and 2008 he attended Lagos State Model College, Iworo Ajido. During his schooling at the college Ekam Stephen Magor (alongside four other students) set a school record of  ten (10 ) distinctions at the 2005 Junior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (commonly callef Junior Secondary Three examinations).

The blessed chap between 2008 and 2012 (the year he got admitted into the University) he worked as a receptionist and later supervisor at Terali Hotels, Calabar.

In 2016, he graduated from the prestigious Department of History And International Studies, University of Calabar with a First Class (4.62), thereby breaking a 41 years jinx and setting the record of being the first student to achieve such in the department’s history (1975 – 2016).

During his undergraduate days at the University he presented several seminar papers, jointly hosted a conference, gave public talks, participated in numerous symposiums and won several awards.

He was selected by the University and subsequently employed temporarily by the British Council to serve as an Exhibition Assistant in 2016.

Ekam Stephen authors a thesis titled “Nigeria’s National Interest and Foreign Policy Incongruity: A historical evaluation (1960 – 2016).

In the said research he has simply appraised the importance of national interest in Nigeria’s foreign policy behaviour, and by extension the rewards of the country’s foreign policy to national development since 1960.

Ekam loves traveling, knowing new places and meeting people also loves sports, researching and public speaking.

The young brain says he dedicates his result to these exceptional undergraduate friends who have loads of testimonials about Ekam include: Ayuk Peter Assam, Nnang Matthew Montul, Ibi Victor Agala, Onyeneke Chidinma Lilian, Elizabeth Hogan, Ezekwem Wisdom Chukwudi, Morphy Uriji Jessica and Ekpo Charles Emmanuel who were instrumental to his success.


“My friends were there in all ramifications to ensure I never missed” uttered Ekam.
