PHOTOGRAPHER, SAMMY PAPARAZZI MURDERED IN AKWA IBOM

A photographer, Samuel Ekerendu popularly known as Sammy Paparazzi has been reportedly robbed and shot dead by dare devil armed robbers in Uyo,

the Akwa Ibom State capital, IBOM REPORTERS can authoritatively report.

Although details of when and where he was killed was sketchy at the time of filing this report, news of the death of the young photographer filtered into town and went viral on social media on Sunday afternoon.

A sibling of the Lensville boss who confirmed the incident with a Facebook post said, “Samuel Ekerendu Why? Why do you make me cry like this again? This is just 31 days since I wrote a birthday message for you 24th April but today 21 April I went to the Mortuary only to see you my brother lying flat on the bed with your nose up, oh the mighty has fallen. I didn’t know I’m not going to see you again.

“Tears drops down my face as you suffer this much only for you not to reap the fruit of your labour. Rest on my brother. Who will take on with your work?.God knows Better Rip #SammyPaparazi. I will forever missed the happy moments we shared.”

A Facebook user (name withheld) also said, “They may feel they have succeeded, but they will pay dearly for what they have done to this great Son of ORO. Sammy Paparazi, don’t worry, enjoy your Father’s House, because I know you are there. God knows better. Will miss you my Best Photographer in Akwa Ibom”

When contacted by our reporter, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Chukwu Ikechukwu said he has not been briefed on the incident.
